Pantone’s 2017 Fall Colors are out and we couldn’t be more excited to share them with you! Every season Pantone evaluates the colors in men and women’s collections at New York Fashion Week. They do this not only to report trends in clothing, but to also translate these colors into interiors as well! That’s where we come in and highlight the top color trends for the fall season and show you how to convey a cozy space with these 10 autumn colors. As the weather gets cooler, now is the perfect time to refresh your home with fall colors inspired by Pantone and the outdoor fall foliage!
Shaded Spruce
The deep, moody teal of Shaded Spruce is the ideal backdrop for all of fall’s traditional browns. Pull your room together by repeating a color scheme on different accents and furnishings, like we did here with an upholstered headboard, wallcoverings, window treatments, and an accent pillow!
Golden Lime
Earthy tones with a twist: the golden undertones of Golden Lime make this yellow-green shade a refreshing complement to fall classics. The intensity of the green on this stove and range hood would overpower most other colors, but here the color pairs well with the cool neutral finishes of the white cabinetry and gray subway tile.
Marina
Cool with an enhanced vitality, Marina is the only truly cool color in the fall palette that brings with it freshness and brightness. Here, an arrangement of dining chairs upholstered in this Marina blue fabric stand in contrast to the rest of the room’s subtle features.
Navy Peony
Navy peony is a dependable and anchoring shade. In this bright kitchen, splashes of blue help create a modern feel. Try pairing the deep blue cabinetry of an island with bright white cabinetry throughout the rest of the room.
Tawny Port
While fall usually urges an array of red, yellows, and oranges, Tawny Port can be incorporated into your palette for an unexpected twist. The saturated shade of purple provides a cool contrast to fall’s trademark warm hues. And because it is such a strong color, it creates a modern eclectic atmosphere when paired with geometric rugs, paisley pillows, and brass accents. Try playing up your sofa or accent chair with a combination of black and navy pillows for a more sultry look!
Ballet Slipper
If there’s one fall hue you just can’t shake, try using it as an eye-catching accent in your favorite room. Paint the door in your entryway for a sweet surprise guests are sure to love!
Neutral Gray
The good ‘ol go-to of all neutrals, Neutral Gray adds an airy quality, new to the darker grays we’ve become accustomed to. Give this color scheme a boost by adding glossy finishes, sophisticated prints, and warm accents.
Butterum
Fall-inspired décor embraces both color and texture. This toasty shade pairs well with other colors and looks cozy when accented with plenty of patterns and textures. Try using artwork to introduce fall colors into your space!
Grenadine
You can’t go wrong with a classic! This powerful and dynamic red is surely an attention-getter. If you’re not ready to commit to such a bold area of color, consider an adventurous accent piece, like this grenadine folding screen with brass nailheads.
Autumn Maple
The color title itself is the essence of our topic! Applying the rich burnt orange color with similar warm hues such as browns and brasses adds a rustic feel to any space. The supple Autumn Maple color seen on these kitchen counter stools is a great contrast against the modern lighting and countertops.
So, there you have it! We hope our color guide has been helpful in introducing Pantone’s 2017 Fall Colors into your home this autumn season!
