Interior Design Trends 2020

New decade, new interior design trends for 2020! This year you’ll see old interior design trends making a comeback and also revamped existing trends. Since it’s a new year, we’ll be showing some of our favorite trends that will be booming in the upcoming months.

Layering Old & New

Nostalgia is ringing in the year 2020, and adding family heirlooms to a design is one way to make your space unique, and not to mention a bargain too! Older pieces make a room look as though it has traveled through time while maintaining modern trends.

Painted Interior Doors

Standard white doors are becoming a thing of the past and as a result painted doors are stepping up. You can pick any color dark, bright, or neutral to bring character into your space and it’s just as easy as painting a door.

Fun Bathroom Designs

Bathrooms are transforming from dainty, neutral colors into bold patterned statements. In any event, every bathroom should feel charming and what better way to show that than stunning wallpaper.

Quartz

Quartz is becoming the go-to stone for kitchens and bathrooms, rather than marble or granite. Keep in mind, natural stones, like granite and marble, change over time and can be a hassle to maintain. However, quarts keeps the same beautiful look and is very low maintenance compared to other options, so it’s not a surprise that quartz is taking over.

Rattan & Wicker Furniture

Using rattan and wicker furniture is not only beautiful for your home but good for the environment too! These eco-friendly pieces come in many different shapes and shades suitable for any design.

Modern Wood Paneling

This trend is amazing because wood paneling can be customized to fit into any design. Wood paneling gives off a warm and inviting feel to a space different from paint or wall paper.

Indoor Gardens

There’s nothing better than bringing the outdoors in! Especially, with people becoming more aware of our impact on the environment it’s no wonder why indoor gardens are becoming so popular.

Printed Wallpaper

Wallpaper is coming back better than ever! Prints are becoming quite popular ranging from dainty to bold, brilliant designs. As a matter of fact, wallpaper is evolving as fast as we are!

Comfort

This year we’ll be seeing a more cozy side to interior design, highlighting everything from plushy throws to pillow-like furniture. Having that comfy feel gives people a sense of home instead of a hotel, like we’ve seen previously in interior design.

Multi-Functional Spaces

This trend is on the rise because we always want to make the most of the space we have. Whether it’s transforming a closet into a functional office or creating a space in another room, like a kitchen, is great for optimizing your space and also pocket-friendly.
