Mid Century Modern Guest Room Makeover with a Touch of Boho Flair
A few weeks ago our Junior Designer, Stephanie Alegre and myself went to our local Raymour & Flanigan store in Oakhurst, New Jersey for an exciting shopping trip for our Mid Century Modern Guest Room Makeover we are collaborating with Raymour & Flanigan on…yay! Jennifer, our personal Home Furnishings Consultant, greeted us at the door with a smile. She was absolutely amazing! She walked us through the entire store and showed us the pieces from our shopping list so that we could make our final selections.
Kari Bed
The first item on the list was the Kari Bed and it was definitely the most important piece we would select. I mean you kind of need a bed in a guest bedroom, right?
The Kari Bed looked even more impressive in person, and they had a wonderful selection of fabrics to choose from. The Queen size version was what they had on the floor but we needed a full. With a little help from our rock star consultant Jennifer, we were able to custom order the bed in the size we needed and the fabric we loved! We picked out these fantastic peacock inspired pillows to throw on the bed for a little added color.
Bartell Bedroom Dresser
Next, we needed to select some furniture pieces with storage…
Bartell Media Chest
We loved the Mid-Century lines of the Bartell Dresser and Media Chest, they were just what we were looking for!
Choo Foo Dogs
We couldn’t pass up these fun foo dogs either!
Thetan Bottle
Another fun accessory! The translucent sphere on top of a simple, gold-finished base make this accessory an eye-catcher.
Domino 3-Arc Floor Lamp
Next, we were in need of a light for guests that may want to kick back, relax and read. The Domino 3-Arc Floor Lamp was perfect and we want to pair it with this super stylish Mid Century Little Havana Chair.
4-Leg Wood Table Lamp
And of course what room would be complete without a couple of bedside lamps? We fell in love with these guys! Yep that’s wood and brass folks. They will add the perfect finishing touch atop these LA Nightstands.
We did some scouting on Raymour & Flanigan’s website before hitting the store. We thought we were going to use the NYC 3D Mixed Media Wall Art but once we were in the store we saw this amazing piece and just had to have it! Our home furnishings consultant, Jennifer, told us that each of the Raymour & Flanigan stores carry one of a kind pieces of art that you cannot buy on their website. So we were very lucky to snag this one!
On another note, we saw this big banner when we walked into the store. Of course we had to inquire…What is HABcore? I am so glad we did! By providing permanent housing and individualized support, HABcore helps homeless families, veterans, and individuals with special needs move through crisis to stability, giving them the opportunity to improve their lives. HABcore is located in Red Bank, New Jersey and is so fortunate to have the support and dedication of the sales force at Raymour & Flanigan Furniture in Oakhurst. Led by store manager and HABcore trustee Dean Ianucilli, the team holds a two-day fundraiser every year. The store is filled with spectacular auction baskets as employees embrace HABcore’s mission and share it with customers as they enter the store. They are looking forward to another great event this October!
