Livingston Transitional Home Tour
It’s time to share our recently completed Livingston Home! After total reconstruction and multiple design phases, we are so excited to finally reveal the finished product. We were so thankful to be blessed with the most amazing clients. They asked us to put a transitional luxurious twist on their new home, and they trusted our vision throughout the entire process. And we also believe their personalities shine through in the design, as the spaces exude the elements of boldness, glamour, and warmth.
Furthermore, we are confident that this happy couple and their adorable little baby girl will enjoy their home as much as we have enjoyed designing it. Now, scroll on down!
Exterior
Greeted with green! Potted greenery and layered outdoor rugs creates a warm welcome to this happy home.
Entry
Luxurious comfort awaits in the entry with a cascade of metallic cowhide and a staircase lined with herringbone. The console table and lamps introduce a warm theme that will reoccur throughout the house: brass bliss!
Kitchen
This bright white kitchen and eating area was all about balancing beauty and function. We broke up the space with two islands, one butcher block for prepping meals and one for casual dining. Especially relevant in this formal kitchen is the polished white marble countertops, intricate cabinetry detail, and arabesque backsplash. The warm glow of the brass lighting and patterned fabric will have this kitchen shining day and night!
Bar
X marks the spot with these glass paneled display in the bar area adjacent to the kitchen. Opting for dark cabinetry, this bar stands on it’s own while shaking things up a bit opposite the bright white kitchen.
Family Room
In the family room, a neutral color palette makes for a relaxing space with pops of color in the greenery and florals. Below the coffered ceiling rests many remarkable design details. Our favorite custom pieces are the beaded antelope print and velvet charcoal striped pillows.
Dining Room
By continuing the harmony of neutral colors and elegant textures, it’s safe to say that our clients’ dining room is dinner party ready! The raised velvet fabric on the host chairs and the crystal teardrop chandeliers brings an ornate feel while the Benson Cobb abstract artwork adds a fun modern twist. Lastly, the piece that pulls it all together is the custom bamboo silk Creative Touch rug.
Mudroom
Hang up your hat and stay awhile! We gave this crisp and clean mudroom a polished look by adding custom leopard print seat cushions and contrasting those with rustic woven baskets.
Guest Bathroom
Bathing in basketweave bliss with this high contrast guest bathroom! Pairing basketweave marble tiles with a beveled mirror and paneled vanity accentuates the sharp lines.
Guest Bedroom
Pinch me, I think I’m dreaming! This chic oasis are what guest bedroom dreams are made of. The luxurious feminine elements are charmingly displayed in the warm brass finishes, textured silk drapery, and pale pink abstract art.
Office
If this isn’t the definition of masculine sophistication, then I don’t know what is! Dressing the walls of this transitional home office with glossy midnight blue grasscloth wallpaper and travel-inspired artwork adds the perfect amount of drama. In contrast, the modern wool rug and velvet lounge chair combines that needed element of comfort for working long hours!
Powder Bathroom
Mixed metals was the main theme in this powder bathroom. Since this space is small and does not get natural light, the floral metallic wallpaper brightly shines in tune with the polished nickel faucet, cut crystal hardware knobs, and antique brass mirror.
Media Room
Designing with rich colors like navy and chocolate creates a comfortable yet sophisticated entertainment space. The natural light helps brighten the up the transitional room against the dark hues, in addition to the light gray tufted ottoman and area rug.
Upstairs Bathroom
This dark gray bathroom vanity brings so much boldness and character into this space. In addition, we tied this cool charcoal hue into the custom herringbone tile inset border on the floor which we repeated in the shower and on the vanity backsplash for that extra pop of pattern.
Master Bathroom
Ah, rest and relaxation at it’s finest! Since grasscloth is one of our favorite materials to use to add texture to a transitional space, we lined the walls with this natural looking grasscloth wallpaper. As a result, the walls combined with the custom marble tiling works in harmony to create a warm and calming environment ideal for frequent bubble baths. (I know I would!)
Master Bedroom
Playing with pattern and texture can have it’s perks! Like so, we incorporated trellis in the roman shades and metallic wallpaper and accented with custom striped pillows and bedding. The faux fur rug and bench keep in theme with the luxurious comfort ambiance. And lastly, the bedroom would be incomplete without the Parisian gallery wall custom-framed in an elegant champagne finish. Oh, and we can’t forget about those peonies!
There you have it! Hope you enjoyed the Livingston NJ Home Tour. May you leave here today with a new love and appreciation for transitional design!
